According to court documents viewed by Globe, Abdul Hakeem Rasheed was taken into custody on Friday, September 25, and charged with theft of service, as well as unlawful conduct during a 9-1-1 call.
WSBTV reports that police were called to the local Red Lobster in Douglasville after a patron said they were having a medical emergency. When police arrived, they found Rasheed, 26, allegedly faking some kind of illness.

Despite his attempt to save a little money by getting the police involved with an alleged fake medical emergency scheme, the caper could ultimately end up costing him more money than he would have saved if his trick worked.
A judge set Rasheed's bond at $1,500 for the theft of service charge and $3,000 for the unlawful conduct during a 9-1-1 call charge, meaning he's on the hook for $4,500 to avoid paying a $63 bill at Red Lobster.
Records show he is still being held in custody at the Douglas County Jail.
